Percy John Jacques Fear

Percy John Jacques FEAR, vicar of Brockham 1908-15, was born about 1878.

He went to Trinity College Oxford, 3rd class Classics 1898, 3rd class Modern History 1899, BA 1899, MA 1903.

In 1899 he went to Wycliffe College Oxford, deacon 1902, priest 1903.

He was chaplain to the Bishop of Sierra Leone 1902-07, chaplain to St Mary's Bathurst Gambia 1903-04, precentor of St George's Cathedral Sierra Leone l9O5-07.

He was then curate of Esher 1907-08, vicar of Brockham 1908-15 (pop'n ll40), and Secretary of the Sierra Leone Diocesan Fund 1909-19, vicar of St James Taunton 1915-19, a Licenced Preacher in Rochester 1920-21, vicar of Ponsbourne St Albans 1921-27, vicar of Lower Amwell, St Albans 1927-35, Rural Dean of Hertford 1930-35, rector of Garsington, Oxford 1937-47, and died there in 1947.
